Couples & Family Therapy
Love is like a butterfly. Hold it too loose and it will fly away. Hold it too tight and it will crush.
Relationships are challenging. Whether you seeking pre-marital counseling to build a healthy union, or looking to resolve current or past relationship issues, we have several therapists specializing in couples and family counseling.
If you are searching for a couples or family therapist together, you are already on the right path. If you are trying to convince your partner or family member to participate in counseling with you, your hope for the relationship is the first step.
Don’t smother each other. No one can grow in the shade.
In order for couples or family therapy to be effective, the role of the therapist as a neutral party is essential. Sessions may be a combination of joint and individual appointments in order to help you reach shared goals together. Common topics addressed include communication, trust, intimacy, acceptance, and resolution of past conflict.
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
As with individual and family counseling, couples’ talk therapy is helpful for some situations and other times may not be able to adequately address the root of disconnect between couples.
We offer a variety of other services for couples beyond or in conjunction with traditional talk therapy, including:
- Couples Sand Tray Therapy (allows a safe and contained space to create and share a tangible image of each other’s perspective)
Love would never be a promise of a rose garden unless it is showered with light of faith, water of sincerity, and air of passion.
