Phoebe is a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Florida and New Hampshire. She recently moved to Naples from New Hampshire where she had a private practice for twelve years. Prior to that, Phoebe had a private practice in Vermont for five years. She focuses on family therapy.
Phoebe is a strength based therapist who enjoys working with teens, families, and couples. She also has a passion for working with seeing single moms and individuals recovering from divorce or other life changes. Her approach in working with clients is to help them formulate a vision of what they want to accomplish in therapy and where they want the work in therapy to take them in their lives. She uses a variety of approaches to therapy including mindfulness, cognitive techniques, and attachment work. She has been trained in Internal Family Systems which is a type of therapy that helps people to understand the different parts of their personalities, why each part came into being and what purpose it has served for them.
Phoebe has a strong belief that it is our challenges in life that can provide us with the opportunity for self-awareness and skills to mold our personalities into who we can be at our best. She is very relational in her approach and her many years of working with people in therapy have showed her the powers of resilience of the human spirit time and time again.
